Received the April & May Magazine from London with a letter from Hessey (and) one from Van Dyk that has lain ever since l5th of March. The Magazine is very dull. A note also from Miss Kent accompanied the parcel to request my assistance to give her information for her intended ‘History of Birds’, but if my assistance is not worth more than 12 lines it is worth nothing & I shall not interfere.14th May 1825
